How to Play VELORA

VELORA is an original real-time arena on a living circular lattice. Concentric rings periodically rotate in opposite directions, rewriting which nodes touch — while your claims stay glued to the physical nodes.

Goal

  • Stabilize the Core — own the center node and stand on it for 8 seconds.
  • Lattice majority — fully attune 9 nodes.
  • Collapse score — when the 2:30 timer ends, most nodes wins.

Movement

  • Click a highlighted adjacent node to move your Warden.
  • You can only step along current lattice links — and those links change after every ring shift.
  • Short move cooldown keeps skirmishes fluid.

Attune

  • Stand on an empty or enemy node to charge it in your color.
  • Press Q / Attune to spend 2 Flux for a burst of charge.
  • Radiant (gold-glow) nodes after an eclipse charge faster.
  • Two Wardens charging the same empty node interfere — charges cancel.

Disrupt & Beacon

  • E / Disrupt (3 Flux): strip enemy ownership on your tile and start a contest.
  • B / Beacon (4 Flux): plant a remote charger on your current node. One beacon max.
  • Press Beacon again on the same node or Recall to pull it back.

Ring Shift

  • Every ~14s the inner and outer rings rotate opposite ways.
  • Your owned nodes stay put — but neighbors, paths to the Core, and cutoffs change instantly.
  • Plan routes one shift ahead. Greed without positioning loses.

Eclipse

  • Periodically, random nodes are voided — unclaimable and impassable.
  • When the eclipse ends they return radiant (bonus charge rate) and unowned.
  • Contest radiant nodes hard — they’re tempo swings.
